Hassan Kamal currently heads Murex Beirut Center, covering Beirut and Nicosia offices with over 1000 employees serving the MEA business unit region, and an essential innovation and development site for Murex.

Operating in 19 countries, Murex is a global leader in trading, risk management and processing software solutions for capital markets. The company’s MX.3 integrating platform has seen over EUR 1 billion in investment in 10 years.

Soon after graduating from AUB in 2002 with a degree in Computer and Communication Engineering, Hassan joined Murex Paris as a Production & Architecture Consultant within the Product Development Department. Throughout his career at Murex, he held multiple senior positions before taking the position of Global Head of the Software Engineering Department in 2015.

In 2017, Hassan moved back to Beirut, and helped scale Beirut Center when the operations in Beirut office were put at risk in 2020. Murex Beirut had decided to review its strategy and extend to another location in the region to ensure business continuity and that was the beginning of a new collaboration with Invest Cyprus. In record time, Murex Nicosia opened its doors in June 2021 and is the home of 150+ colleagues today.

Apart from the diversified business activities that Hassan plays a key role in, he actively contributes to several educational and humanitarian initiatives launched by Murex to support the Lebanese and Cypriot communities.
